I died and time travelled!
Oh, seriously. R&B. Harmonies. Soul Anthems.
It’s thee The Temptations.
I flipped out. Honestly, I appreciate music, especially back then, but I’m not a music junkie. But The Temptations, on a 12” vinyl record, oh let me tell you music just isn’t like this anymore.
Horns, trumpets, harmonies. I love The Temptations, so to hear them the way they were heard back in the day, the feeling, it felt like I died and time travelled.
The crackling of the horns, in combination with the vocals, uhhhh you just become engulfed.
If you wanna time travel, just listen to The Temptations on vinyl.
Become engulfed.
Classics, the way they were meant to be heard.
Flippin’ thru records. Hours just spent.
If you know me. You’ll know I have a passion for old time classics 50s to 80s music.
Listening to songs the way they were back in the day, is just so rich. The sound its so, real.
Paul McCartney, Elton John and Barry White.
Random records, but wanted to note that these were my first 12” vinyls.
If you get the opportunity to listen to any of these records, listen to those raspy vocals offset with those guitar strings.
You feel those vibrations.
Experience it.
Vinyl. Feelin’ the music. Seriously.
Was out touring the Toronto Annex with one of my boys for my early birthday, and we stumbled upon sonic boom! I’ve heard so much about vinyls lately,
and damn is it an experience.
7” spinning Freeway to Love by Aretha Franklin
There’s just that something enriching on vinyl.
